Weight Loss Help. And, I was fit & healthy: then found out I needed Open Heart Surgery
Lee has been my medical advocate for over 15 years, providing extremely valuable monitoring and guidance for my medical well-being. Her guidance has included navigation through lab work, tests, and treatments. It’s very comforting knowing I have an advocate looking out for my best health interests above all. Initially I worked with Lee to lose weight. She put together a diet consisting of many recipes she created along with other food in support of weight loss. I was able to prepare the food myself. With Lee’s guidance and diet, I went from 182 lbs to 162 lbs (19 lbs). The best part is I have maintained my weight for over 15 years. In 2015, I was very active working out 2x a week and playing tennis 2x a week and in really good shape. I started to have what felt like heartburn and then some shortness of breath. Lee suggested I get checked out immediately. While waiting weeks for an appointment with my doctor, I was on the treadmill and thought I felt a pain down my left arm. Lee said, call an ambulance immediately and do not go to the local hospital which was 5 minutes away as they’re not known for their diagnosis of heart conditions. She insisted I go to a well known heart hospital, which was 50 minutes away, and I did. This was a Friday and the following Monday I had open heart bypass surgery. It turns out I had over a 90% blockage in the Left Anterior Descending Artery (LAD) the main artery to my heart. From surgery preparation thru recovery in ICU, Lee has assisted in helping with anesthesia advocacy to pain management and there were complications which she helped me navigate through. Recovery went as well as it could. Lee has been key in ensuring I receive thorough and effective medical care over the years. This is invaluable and very comforting for me, which otherwise would be filled with uncertainty and worry. I have suggested Lee to family and friends with excellent results.
